How Much Co2 Do I Need For My Co2 Jets - Co2 Cannons - Cryo Guns CryoFX

How Much Co2 You Need in the Jets?

So, you ask how much Co2 do I need for my Co2 jets cryoguns or cannons. That's a good question, and it's really up to you.

How Long Do Tanks Last?

We have a tank information image that we will have a link below in this video. If you're on YouTube, that shows you the tanks. The tanks are the ones that control the time. 20 pound tanks last 40 seconds, 50 pound tanks last about a minute, 15 minute, 30 depending on the temperature outside.

Now, you can combine multiple Co2 Jets or Co2 tanks to get more Co2 so when you're ordering from us, you want to make sure you notate how long you want each of your devices. This should be the case whether you want handheld, stage mounted or trust mounted.  Regardless of device type, how long that device needs to spray Co2 total. If you have a three-second burst, and you want 10 three second bursts, you're going to need about 30 seconds.

We're always going to advise you to get more. However, your request is what we're going to fulfill. We just want to make sure you understand how much Co2 you need.  Generally, with a party for a DJ or a production company and a handheld cryogun, they get one. The two tanks, one tank is going to go by very fast. 150 pound tank is going to go about a minute 15, a minute 30, depending on the ambient temperature outside.

The hotter the temperature, the less Co2 you're going to get for special effects.

Controlling The Use Of Gas

Now, if you're watching this video, and you're using Co2 for anything else other than special effects, that's a little bit trickier. This is because special effects always has the valve all the way open. So, we time the amount of liquid that's coming out of the tank. But gas, you can really regulate the gas, you can have different size orifices on what you're using different sized equipment, you can throttle it down.

There are so many factors that go into the gas. It's really hard to pinpoint how long the gas is going to be used or how long the Co2 jets or tanks will last and how much you need.

Conclusion – Amount in the Co2 Jets

Every application is a little bit different, so we want to make sure that you're aware of what you need. If you have other questions, feel free to go all the way to the bottom of this page, put your question in and make sure you notate that it's regarding Co2, and we'll make sure that we address that thank you for watching CryoFX.
