What separates the types is everything wrapped around that valve, and choosing well means matching the wrapper to the venue, the control system, and the budget rather than buying the most jet you can afford. The best sellers are the DMX 512 jet and the High Output valve. The DMX 512 is on more tours and in more clubs than any other jet in the United States, and it earns that: 18 lb (8.1 kg), 100 watts, metal XLR jacks, numeric DMX addressing, power daisy chaining, and a case that has survived Vans Warped Tour year after year. Some of the units in our own rental fleet have been in service more than 12 years. The slowest seller is the XY jet, and the reason is price rather than performance.

 

 

Choosing by venue

Small club or bar: 2 to 4 standard DMX jets, one tank each, mounted at the booth or over the floor. Large club or dayclub: 8 to 12 jets, and this is where LED jets earn their premium, because colored plumes read across a big room.

 

Dayclubs choose differently than nightclubs: they want maximum output in daylight, they skip LEDs unless the room runs at night too, and every dayclub we've designed has paired its jets with high powered fog machines and water effects (we build water cannons around our own CO2 valves for exactly this). One CryoFX trick for hot, dry rooms: fire fog seconds before the jet, then let the CO2 blast throw the fog higher; the combined plume holds better in low humidity than either effect alone.

 

Festival stages run 10 to 12 jets minimum, quad jets on the mains. Touring productions carry road-cased DMX 512 jets with spares. Theatres and broadcast use valve jets tied into show control with prime valves. Theme parks buy moving heads and custom builds with spares kits. Corporate events run 2-jet packages around a reveal.

 

Choosing by control

Nearly 100% of club clients already have DMX infrastructure when they call, so the real question is whether the jets join the house universe or run isolated. We always recommend a dedicated universe for special effects; if a client insists on sharing their existing DMX, we explain the misfire risk from noisy equipment on the line and let them choose. No DMX at all? A power-only valve jet with an inline switch, or a relay pack, fires just as reliably. Show control, timecode, and fully automated systems all resolve to the same valve in the end.

 

Choosing by supply

One siphon tank, one hose, one jet is the default, multiplied by the jet count so every jet is an isolated system. The configuration we consistently talk clients out of is series plumbing: tanks on one side of the stage feeding jet 1 through jet 2 through jet 3 and out to another tank bank. One stuck valve or one leak takes the whole stage down. Four isolated systems lose one jet and keep the show. We'd rather talk a client out of extra hoses and a worse design than sell the bigger invoice; a customer who finds out later they were oversold is gone for good, and our repeat rate is the whole business.

 

What every type shares

The valve decides the lifespan, and every CryoFX jet runs a piston valve rated to at least 1,450 psi with a 50,000 to 60,000+ cycle duty life. Every type needs a siphon tank, 15 to 20 ft of audience clearance, and a permit in Las Vegas. And every type fires the same plume physics: liquid CO2, frozen humidity, gone in seconds, nothing on the floor.

Every jet on this page ships from Las Vegas with its hose, fittings, cables, and washers, and the product pages carry an estimated delivery date and a shipping calculator at checkout.
